I've nothing crafty related to share (this would actually please some of my family who believe I'm a step away from the old peoples home considering my love of sewing and knitting and all that crafty related stuff!) I did get some bibs sewn for my SIL's baby shower last weekend, but in my rush to get out the door, did not have time to photograph :( I have however got another 3 here cut out ready to sew, so will be sure to take a piccie to share before I give them away!
I finished my foundation piecing course last Thursday night (it feels like a lifetime ago now!) I managed to get one block joined and it looks fabbo!!! I am yet to get back to the rest of the blocks, I've two more half done and yet another to even start - will update you on that progress in a years time ;)
In the meantime, between looking after a sick hubby (ok, ok, I'm not really looking after him) looking after a teething child (I hate teething!!!) and picking up a little outside work for ME ~ I've barely had time to scratch myself! I have however been doing my bit for the Read-a-thon 2009! I'm up to my 9th book and February hasn't even ended yet!
As you can see (if you're looking at my blog & not thru bloglines) I am currently reading New Moon. I had been planning to re-read the Twilight Series S L O W L Y as the first time around last year I flew thru them to get the full picture. This time around I'd planned to savour them... well what can I say ~ I've totally devoured Edward the first one and am chewing thru the 2nd at a fast rate, so at this stage - I should have all four finished by end of February!!! Hey what is the prize if you read 50 books for the year? A quilt? A book voucher? Or is it just self satisfaction? I must say I am really enjoying getting back into the reading, even if all my books are fluffy and light at this stage! I did warn you didn't I?
So back to Edward... I fell in love the first time around. I'm talking teeny bopper in lurve... puppy love and all that jazz. Total crush on the man and wished I could have him.
Then I saw the movie and Ok, Robert Pattinson was AWESOME in it... but I am going out on a limb here and will pronounce to the world (well my 5 readers anyhow) that the movie was less than awesome. I'm not saying it wasn't good... it was. It was just a let down after the books. Robert Pattinson however was a honey, not quite as I imagined him to be, but a honey all the same. He can bite my neck any day (OMG did I actually write that?)
This time around, I'm having a slight problem with my imagination of Edward. He keeps flicking from the Edward of my imagination and the Edward of the movie... hmmm... dilemna much? I'm leaning toward my imaginary Edward more, which is strange cause after reading Harry Potter and seeing the movies, all my 'imaginary' characterisations became null and void. Apart from the imaginary / Robert Edward. I can say I am still utterly in love with Edward, if anything my silly school girl crush has become full blown grown up love - LOL!
To the point that I am suffering Insomnia at night (let's not mention the headaches and the book idea that have kept me up the last few nights...) I am going out in Sympathy with the sleepless Edward - I tells ya!
So there you have it - lots of rambling, not much news. If you got this far - big congrats! I'm off now to read up on 150 blog entries (will you people please take pity on a slack arse computer checkerere and slow down the entries!!!) have some tea and go to bed with Edward - LMAO... it's funny because I'm taking the book to bed... captain obvious much?
Ok really must go - I'm not making sense now. Take care & will be back again!
