This is the progress so far for my scarf ~ the cable pattern is too easy (I've memorised it now) & knitting up on 12mm needles is super fast! I love the colour too :)

This is looking great, Car. Bring on the cold weather so you can show us a picture of it in action!
I wish I could knit, humm maybe I will take some supplies with me at Easter and get my Mum to try and teach me again. Got any really basic ideas for a starting project :)
